Place within the organization:

 Accountable to Area Coordinator and under direct supervision of Pharmacy In-Charge.

 Job description:

The Warehouse Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and orderly warehouse environment to support safe and efficient operations. This includes ensuring all areas both inside and around the warehouse are kept free from dust, waste, and other potential hazards. The cleaner will be specifically tasked with the comprehensive cleaning of the warehouse facility, including washrooms, floors, walls, shelves, and storage areas. Duties include removing spider webs, brooming, dusting, mopping, and washing surfaces as needed. Once cleaning tasks are completed, the cleaner will be responsible for collecting and properly disposing of waste to the designated trash collection area, in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.

 Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, and disinfect warehouse floors, aisles, and loading/unloading areas on a regular basis.
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, washbasins, windows, doors, and common areas.
  • Properly dispose of waste and ensure garbage bins are emptied and cleaned daily.
  • Clean shelves, racks, and storage areas to prevent dust buildup on stored items.
  • Clean spider webs on regular basis.
  • Report any damages, pest issues, or maintenance needs to the Warehouse In-charge.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and tools are properly stored and maintained.
  • Assist in organizing and tidying storage spaces when required.
  • Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain physical inventory records of cleaning supplies and toiletries.
  • Submit regular consumption report of cleaning items to his supervisor on weekly basis.
  • Dusting of furniture includes tables, chairs, cupboards, shelves, windows, and doors on daily basis.
  • Take good care of cleaning equipment and items; and handle and use them carefully.
  • Take preventive measures not to damage the warehouse equipment/assets.
  • Provide support services as required by the pharmacy In-charge including loading and unloading supplies.
  • Attend project staff meetings held at warehouse/office levels.
  • In case of an emergency, should immediately report to his supervisor or project office.
  • Be punctual and regular in duties and flexible to work as required.
  • Perform any other job-related task (s) assigned by the supervisor (s).

 Core Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Pakistani national  with valid CNIC.
  • Basic literacy (ability to read labels and safety instructions).
  • Physically and mentally fit and able to carry out labor-intensive tasks.
  • 3-4 years prior working experience in cleaning roles, preferably in a warehouse, hospital, office or commercial setting.
  • Familiarity with cleaning tools and chemicals (e.g., mops, disinfectants, brooms, vacuum machines).
  • Careful handling of potentially hazardous materials or areas.
  • Understanding proper waste disposal procedures.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness in the work area.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Urdu and Pashto.
  • Familiar with local customs and culture.
