Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing democratic accountabilities in Pakistan. TDEA in collaboration with partner organizations, is implementing "Inclusivity Through Diversity: Promoting Minority Rights in Pakistan” project across 13 districts in Sindh and Punjab. This 36-month initiative aims to support minority rights by engaging key stakeholders, establishing local-level committees, and enhancing the capacity of minority representatives in legislative bodies. The action will focus on local areas with high rates of violence and discrimination against minorities within districts. Through advocacy, training, and strategic support, the project seeks to drive policy reforms, empower human rights defenders, and create a safer, more inclusive environment for religious minorities across Pakistan.

Job Purpose:

Project Assistants will support the Project Coordinator in implementing project activities, managing logistics, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. They will play a key role in community engagement, administrative support, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities and Competencies:

1.      Community Engagement and Coordination:

  • Assist in the formation of neighborhood-level committees and support HRDs in promoting and protecting minority rights.
  • Facilitate and coordinate community dialogues, ensuring all logistical needs are met and that sessions are conducted smoothly.
  • Provide support to HRDs and community members in organizing and documenting dialogues and other engagement activities.

2.      Administrative Support:

  • Assist with the coordination of legal aid activities, including tracking cases of individuals receiving assistance and maintaining relevant documentation.
  • Support Project Coordinator in organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions for minority representatives and HRDs.
  • Manage documentation and filing of legal support cases, training records, and other project data.

3.      Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Collect, organize, and maintain data related to community engagements, legal support services, and other project activities.
  • Contribute to project reports by providing accurate records of activities, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation efforts by collecting feedback from participants and community members.

4.      Advocacy and Campaign Assistance:

  • Help prepare materials and support public advocacy campaigns, including webinars, meetings, and social media content.
  • Engage with community leaders and minority representatives to ensure alignment of campaign messages with community needs.

5.      Logistics and Administrative Support:

  • Organize logistics for all field activities, including training sessions, community dialogues, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Coordinator, including scheduling and record-keeping.

Required Qualification:

  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree fresh graduates.
