Job Summary:

The purpose of this role is to support the Food Security and Livelihood team to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of food security projects in country mission. The implementation of early recovery program will facilitate the ground for transitions to development programs. 

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Ensure Food Security and Livelihood activities are implemented as directed by supervisor.
  • Provide key linkage between beneficiaries and the head office if applicable and as required.
  • Liaise and follow up with the community project management committees on project implementation based on agreed deliverables from beneficiary registration, facilitation of pre-distribution.
  • Train, organize distributions, and collect field data (baseline, post-distribution monitoring, and end-line).
  • Conduct beneficiary sensitization for voucher-based food assistance programs at village level.
  • Participate in distribution process which includes beneficiary verification and redemption of commodity vouchers.
  • Prepare weekly reports to update stakeholders on district level implementation progress.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Typically, a University Degree in Social Sciences. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • At least 2 years experience implementing food security and livelihood strengthening programs with an International Organization.
  • Good organizational capacity - including documentation of beneficiary lists, baseline, and post-distribution monitoring database.
  • Good report writing and oral communication skills. Ability to speak and write in English will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent relational/interpersonal skills; conducting community sensitization and awareness sessions.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel.

Additional Technical or Language Requirements

Pushto language compulsory
