Electrical Supervisor (Al Mustafa Eye Hospital Lahore & AMWT)


1. Eligibility Criteria

  • Education:
    • Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical Technology
    • OR Electronic higher qualification will be preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in hospital or large-scale facility maintenance
    • Experience in managing electrical systems, backup power, and team supervision
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of hospital electrical systems
    • Expertise in generators, UPS, ATS panels, and load management
    • Ability to supervise multiple sites (hospital & offices)
    • Good communication and reporting skills

2. Job Summary

The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for the smooth and uninterrupted functioning of all electrical systems at Al Mustafa Eye Hospital Lahore and Al Mustafa Welfare Trust (AMWT) offices. The role includes supervision of electrical maintenance, ensuring continuous power supply to critical areas, managing backup systems, and overseeing repair and maintenance of all electrical appliances. The supervisor will also coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and WAPDA to ensure efficient operations across all facilities.


3. Duties & Responsibilities

A. Electrical Systems Maintenance

  • Ensure proper functioning of electrical systems at hospital and AMWT offices
  • Supervise wiring, panels, lighting, and distribution systems
  • Maintain uninterrupted power supply to critical hospital departments

B. Repair & Maintenance of Electrical Appliances

  • Oversee repair and maintenance of all electrical appliances
  • Ensure timely troubleshooting and replacement of faulty equipment
  • Maintain maintenance logs and service records

C. Backup Power & Critical Systems

  • Manage generators, UPS systems, and ATS panels
  • Ensure automatic backup during power failure
  • Conduct regular testing and monitoring of backup systems

D. Liaison with External Agencies

  • Liaison with WAPDA for electricity-related issues and coordination
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, and installations
  • Ensure smooth functioning of hospital and AMWT operations through external coordination

E. Team Supervision

  • Supervise electricians and maintenance staff
  • Assign tasks and monitor daily activities
  • Train staff and ensure proper shift coverage

F. Preventive Maintenance

  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems
  • Identify and resolve potential issues before breakdowns occur

G. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
  • Enforce safe working practices and use of PPE
  • Prevent hazards such as overloads, short circuits, and system failures

H. Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with management and other departments
  • Prepare reports on maintenance, faults, and performance
  • Maintain proper documentation for PHC requirements and reviews
